Fix for freeze issue with Macbook 2010 model with nvidia 320m video card
This is a common problem for Windows 7 users, even after bootcamp patch 3.1: Everything seems smooth and fast, but then suddenly when watching that youtube movie, the computer stalls. Sometimes the mouse cursor moves while this happens, sometimes not. From 20-50 seconds of stalling is common. Very annoying!
Here is the fix! The problem is most probably the sound driver, which needs to either be deactivated (not so good) or get a driver update (nice!).
1. Be sure to have the latest bootcamp 3.1 patch installed, just to be sure this is okey.
2. Download the new sound card driver from Cirrus Logic here:
http://www.cirrus.com/en/products/pro/detail/P1233.html
3. Unzip the driver in a folder somewhere.
4. In Device Manager (search in start meny to find it): look up "Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 77)" under sound video and game controllers. This is the sound card. Click it and select "Update driver...". Now select the folder where you unzipped the downloaded driver.
5. Reboot and see if it works! Please leave some feedback if you tried this on your MBP 13" 2010.
